Bikes rule in the Netherlands. They are the best way of getting around and are the most highly respected in the hierarchy of the road. There were bikes everywhere. Every evailable place to lock up a bike had many. At first I thought they were older, but in a small village I saw a bike shop and discovered that they are mostly quite new.
